Chris is a naturalist and broadcaster who has worked to conserve wildlife in the south west for most of his life. As Conservation Officer for the Hawk and Owl Trust for 25 years he has worked tirelessly to engage people in the natural world and to reverse the decline of many species, especially owls.  He received an MBE in 2001 for services to wildlife conservation, and has been a regular presenter on BBC Radio 4’s Living World, Saving Species and Shared Planet programmes for many years.  An experienced public speaker, Chris’ talks are informative, but also lighthearted and entertaining.
