Late July and August are a busy time for the society, with a number of outings, events and talks for you!
Our next Coach Trip is to Taunton Flower Show
Departing at 9.15 from the village hall on August 3rd (Friday)
The Taunton Flower Show has been running since 1831, and has all the elements one would expect – show gardens, competitive classes for plants, produce and crafts, a floral marquee, trade stands and events in the arena through the day. We are going on the Friday, the first of the two days, to see the displays at their best.

July 25th 2018 (Wednesday) 6.45pm Evening Garden Visit to ‘Prospect House’ Axminster
Peter Wadely and Jo Fox will give a short Q and A on Salvias for which the garden is famous. Cost £5 to include refreshments. (Non members £8)

- Talk on August 22nd 2018 (Wednesday) 7.30pm – ‘From Plant to Plate’ by Sue Applegate of Hurstbrook Plants, an illustrated talk of the work within the UK Fresh Produce Industry to supply Farm Assured food to Farmers Markets and Supermarkets. Seasonal, UK grown produce will be available for sale.
